Sheeple....

Canada will be known as a bunch of fucking sheep. So far since 2011, ONLY 2 burqa wearing women were prevented from getting Canadian citizenship

You'd think after reading the news and the amount of Islamophobia that there were hundreds of thousands niqab wearing women in Canada.

Nope just 2.   Makes you think doesn't it?

FOR 2 people the entire country is thinking we are getting overrun by Muslims and if we don't act now, soon we will be Saudi Arabia.  Uhm. no.

Swell it's pissing in my walk-in closet

Well more like a slow drip. It's pissing rain and  I could hear thump thump thump of water falling. After listening in a few places I homed in my walk in closet. Water was dripping from the fixture. Of course it's dark and late and pissing rain.  We put a bucket in the attic for tonight. Will have to investigate.....

The roof, the roof, the roof is leaking.....

Sad day Today

It's sad that today is the last day Canada Computers in the West island is opened.

We were all stunned at work that they closed this location down. I liked it, that I could go at lunch or afterwork to get stuff I need.  I much rather go to Canada computers instead of Microbytes. The staff was knowledgeable and the service was good. Prices were competitive, and best of all if they didn't have in stock or only online, I could ask it to go to the store and get a free pick up. So order online and get free shipping to the location.

I'm told there's a laval location, but it's much father away. It's on St Martin near Le Corbusier, past the 15, so further then Carrefour Laval. Will be  a pain in the pass to go there to get small things. Before we'd go get lunch at Tau's and stop in at Canada Computers.

Microsoft bitches of the day

I'm refreshing a whole bunch of systems, updating them and making new ghost images.

One machine where I installed Windows 7 64 bits, with SP1 already included, once I went to look for updates it had 210. Yes. You read this right. Two hundred and ten updates. Worst part is, I'm only downloading important updates, not all updates.

My other bitch of the day for Microsoft, is Edge. Dunno why we needed a new browser, that looks very much like IE, but doesn't work like IE.   I had to try out an nVidia NVS510 today. So I went to the nVidia site, found the page, and click on download drivers. Edge can't display the download page. Told me it was not available and did I want to go back to previous page.  Not useful if you want to download drivers.  I was able to go to the same page with IE from Windows 10. Things that make me go Hmm.

Just because his name is Mohamed does not make him a terrorist

The trending story today is of a Texas boy, 14, named  Ahmed Mohammed, who build a clock. Because he's Muslim and not pasty white, the teacher didn't believe it was just a clock he thought it was a bomb and called the police, who badgered the poor teen.. just because of his name and ethnicity.

Good on President Obama for standing with Mohamed! Even better inviting him to the white house to show off his clock!

Editorial in The Globe and Mail about hand tagging

Finally a large newspaper picked up the story about the hand tagging with invisible ink. The lower court judge said it was ok... much like going to a night club.. But when your hands are behind your back, you feel a burning sensation of writing on your hands and you get told "No we aren't doing anything to your hands"...

Here is the article in the Globe and Mail.

Also my friends are still $4000 short of the money they need for the court case. Please help:

Older patterns, modern dresses!

Between  Butterick B5313 ( from 2009 ) and Butterick 3223 (from 1993 ), I've made 2 dresses this weekend out of stretch rayon.

In the case of B5313 I've lengthened the skirt and shortened the flounce.  For the dress pattern 3223, I've redrawn the front and back bodice as it was way too big.

The patterns I used. One I bought back in the 1990's the other was a Value Village found .

Jean-Coutu still hasn't gotten rid of her

I'm talking about the Pharmacist Nelly Kanou. Yesterday a story made the French newspapers how she has been selling pharmeceutical drugs illegally, back to the middle-east and she was caught and brought up in front of the disciplinary comittee of Quebec pharmacists.

When is Jean-Coutu going to distance themselves from Nelly Kanou, who is in Assad's circle?!?!?

I've previously posted about her back in 2011

Wow... partitions on hard disk = portable devices?

Really Microsoft????

Shown below is Windows Explorer in Microsoft Windows 10, showing that I have 17 partitions on my hard disk going from Windows XP all the way to Windows 10, with room for S2016 when it is released.  How are these "PORTABLE" devices? In Device manager on the same Operating system it shows all the partitions as Portable Devices.  I cannot remove one and walk away with it.  What kind of drug was the programmer taking while he designed this little gem????

A dragonfly hangs out

So my friend gets out of the tent and spotted this dragonfly hanging out by the tent with the dragonfly lights.

Media flooded with 2 year old's lifeless body on a turkish beach.

I re-shared it on Facebook and it upset a friend who's very young son committed suicide in January. I didn't mean to upset her or anyone else on my friends list. I was just appalled by how most of the world just doesn't care.

Many don't want "immigrants" in their countries or cities or neighborhoods. I was thinking about this little boy, who's mom had lovingly dressed him for the crossing in dangerous waters because they hoped for a better life. A life that did not include barrel bombs, ISIS and other atrocities. All these people wanted was for their children to grow up and not see war.

As the mom of two children I've been thinking since my friend lost her child to suicide, how as a mom you get over the loss of a child. To lose 2 children in such horrific conditions. I feel for the children's father.

Kurdi family in a happier time

Many prayers for this poor man, who lost both boys and his wife, the boys mother, in a crossing between Turkey and Greece.

I won't reshare the photo of Alan's lifeless body on the beach.  I am sharing this photo of him smiling while holding his dad's hand.  I'm sharing this photo, for all the children that Assad and other heads of state have left die.....

Mrs Universe is Cree and has a voice!

She also wants you to know how she feels about Stephen Harper. Good on her!

I LOVE the fact that she is using her 2 minutes of fame to highlight the fact that our Prime Minister doesn't give a rats ass about aboriginals, their rights, and wants to brand them as terrorists for fighting for their rights!

UV HAND TAGGING APPEAL GOFUNDME

Please if you can help my friends get the funds to appeal the court decision that said it was ok for police to tag protesters in 2011 with UV pen, and not tell them. The police claim the protesters were aware. They were not.

My friends have a gofundme. Please help!
