Saleh finally says he is stepping down and authorizing power transfers. This means in 30 days he should be gone and supposedly there should be presidential elections 60 days later.
Honestly I don't know what to think? Manoeuvring by the GCC in agreement with the US to keep Yemen under control? Will the people really get to elect who they want? Will it improve the lot of the Yemeni people who are some of the poorest in the Middle East? Will it help improve the lot of Yemeni women?
