Apparently I don't get less gullible with age.

So the blog I've been following appears to be a work of fiction as opposed to real.  Amina might be gay but apparently she's definitely not in Damascus. I feel betrayed. Wouldn't be the first or the last time I get sucked in by a good story.

It doesn't make any less real the plight of real Syrians who are getting massacred and slaughtered by the Assad regime. Over 4000 people have sought refuge in Turkey, fleeing border towns that are under siege by government forces. It is estimated that another 5000 is in Lebanon, but the UN specifies that the number of Syrians in Lebanon varies from day to day as some have already returned home.  There are now more then 1300 dead protesters - mostly all peaceful ones. There is 75 of those who are children. CHILDREN.  Some who were tortured before being murdered. This is still going on. When will it end?
