Another 4 years of Harper.

Thanks to my fellow Canadians [and that means especially YOU Ontario!] we are stuck with 4 more years of King Harper.  Only 39% of people voted conservative, and yet they have a CLEAR majority.

I'm still in shock over the NDP wave in Quebec. I don't think the NDP has ever won that many seats. Some of the funnier comments some of my facebook friends made last night was along these lines "Some ndp candidates are so green they will be like tourists in parliament". They were joking that a percentage of NDP candidates were students and people that were just 'placeholders' who weren't even campaigning and who got in by the Quebecois wave of socialism! Some commented that Quebecois are like sheep, they all wanted change so bad they painted Quebec orange.

It will certainly make for an interesting 4 year with the NDP as the official opposition.

  1. Of the 32 Montreal ridings, 26 voted NDP, including Pierrefonds-Dollard, where usually the Liberals take it every time. Patry lost to the NDP party with 2k vote difference. Lol! Liberals got the other 6 ridings.

  2. Montrealers really don't care much for Harper and his conservatives, that's for sure.
